How to send wedding invitations by text.

A thoughtful wedding text needs only a warm greeting, a clear reason for the message, and a link that holds the details. Prepare your guest list, send through Invitease SMS to guests outside Pakistan or use WhatsApp, and keep replies useful for planning. You can also share links personally.

How do you send a wedding invitation by text?

Create the hosted invitation, add one guest-list entry per invited party, and copy each party’s personal link. Send the link in an individual text with your names, wedding date, and RSVP request. Guests open the invitation and submit their response online; in Invitease, ordinary guest RSVP requires a purchased event.

Prepare the invitation before writing the text.

Put the couple’s names, ceremony and reception dates, start times, venue names, and addresses on the hosted invitation. Check the maps on a phone. If guests are traveling across timezones, spell out the event’s local timezone in your wording; Invitease currently stores the date and time without a timezone.

Choose a prebuilt theme and preview the complete guest experience. A text is the introduction, so it does not need to reproduce the schedule. Keep the practical information on the invitation where guests can return to it. Save the event to your account and purchase the base plan before asking ordinary guests to RSVP.

Four checks before the first send.

Check who the invitation includes

Decide whether each entry represents one person, a couple, or a family. Use a greeting that makes that clear. A personal link belongs to that invited party; avoid dropping it into a group chat where others may submit its RSVP.

Match the name to the link

Open a copied link before sending and confirm it greets the right guest. Send your first real invitation to someone you can ask to check the page and response flow with you.

Make the requested action clear

Ask guests to respond through the link, rather than replying “yes” in the text thread. Include your chosen RSVP date in the message so they know when you need an answer.

Keep a personal alternative

If a guest cannot open the link, speak with them and update their response in your guest list. Keep their household headcount alongside the other RSVPs so it still contributes to your planning total.

Send your wedding invitations in four steps.

  1. Create and review — Set up the wedding, preview the theme, and check the schedule, venues, and wording on your phone. Activate the event before requesting responses.
  2. Prepare invited parties — Add individual guests or households with the right name and phone number. Use one entry for a family sharing one invitation, and separate entries where people need their own links.
  3. Send by SMS or WhatsApp — Invitease can send the personal link by SMS to consenting guests outside Pakistan or WhatsApp for guests who prefer it. For personal sharing, introduce the wedding and paste the correct link into an individual conversation.
  4. Review and follow up — Check the pending list before sending a polite follow-up. Use the same personal link, and avoid asking guests who already responded to submit the form again.

A message you can adapt.

Replace every bracketed detail, including the link, before sending. Use the actual personal invitation URL; a gallery preview cannot record a guest’s response. This example is for a personal text from the host, not a carrier-approved message template.

Personal wedding invitation

Hi [guest name]! It’s [couple’s names]. We’d love to celebrate our wedding with you on [date]. Your invitation and all the details are here: [personal link]. Please RSVP through the invitation by [RSVP date]. Hope to see you there!

Check the response, not just the send.

Sending a text and receiving an RSVP are different steps. Invitease records the answer submitted on the invitation; an informal text reply does not automatically update that record.

  1. Guest opens their link — The invitation shows the name and event details the host entered.
  2. Guest responds online — The guest confirms or declines on the invitation and enters the attending headcount. The current form uses Ladies, Gents, and Children categories.
  3. Host reviews attendance — The response appears in the event’s guest list. Use attending people for catering and invitation parties for purchasing capacity.

Common questions

Can I send a wedding invitation as a text?

Yes. A personal text can carry a link to the full wedding invitation. Check that the link belongs to the right invited party and explain where to RSVP.

Does Invitease send the SMS for me?

Yes. Invitease sends SMS invitation links to consenting guests outside Pakistan. WhatsApp is also available, including for guests outside Pakistan who prefer it. You can also share links personally from your own phone.

Do replies to my text update the guest list?

No. Guests need to submit their RSVP on the invitation. If they reply to you personally, update their response in the portal.

Can I set up a sample without paying?

Yes. You can create and preview an event before payment, but ordinary guest RSVP stays locked until purchase.
